Logbook: document your decisions so the AI understands the context
Note what you did (raised the budget, swapped the creative, shipped a new landing page). The AI takes your log entries into account when it analyses future deviations. Better insights from one extra step you should be taking anyway.
The problem without a log
- ✗ Traffic dropped in October. Was it the algorithm, the season or that URL change you made?
- ✗ CPA dropped 20%. Was it the creative you swapped or the budget you raised?
- ✗ The AI raises an alarm about a deviation that is in fact exactly what you planned.
- ✗ You forget what you did 6 weeks ago when it is time to analyse the quarter.
What the log solves
- ✓ A timeline of all your active decisions, tagged by type.
- ✓ The AI reads the log when it analyses, so you avoid false alarms for changes you planned.
- ✓ Tie actions to results over time (combined with the Truth Ledger).
- ✓ The weekly report automatically marks which decisions correlate with measured changes.
How the log is used in practice
Raised the daily budget from SEK 300 to SEK 500 on the "Brand" campaign
I expect higher volume but the same CPA. Following up after 14 days.
Changed the headline on the /discount page
"Faster delivery" → "Free shipping over SEK 499". Testing for 2 weeks. A/B test via Optimize.
Meta Business Manager got a new admin account
Needed in order to fix pixel events. May affect the data gap we saw last week.
Log entries are tagged automatically (budget, creative, landing page, account, other) so you can filter and find your way back quickly.
How the AI link works
When the nightly job finds a deviation (for example CPA +30% last week), Claude Haiku gets the whole log for that period as part of the prompt. The result: insights that say "CPA rose 30%, most likely because you raised the budget on 2026-04-10 before the conversion rate had time to settle" instead of "CPA rose 30%".
You do not have to write perfect prose or follow a format. Free text is enough, Paidin interprets the context.
Works best together with the Truth Ledger
A log entry without follow-up is just a note. With the Truth Ledger you can attach a prediction to the entry: "I think CPA will drop 15% after this change." The system follows up and shows whether you were right.

The rule of thumb is simple: anything you did that could explain a change in the numbers. Without the log, the analysis reads your own action as an unexplained deviation.
| Event | What the analysis otherwise believes |
|---|---|
| Budget raised or lowered | That the cost ran away, or that the campaign lost momentum on its own. |
| New ad or new creative | That the click-through rate changed for no reason. |
| New or changed landing page | That the conversion rate moved with no connection to the site. |
| Price change or promotional offer | That demand has swung for no clear reason. |
| Downtime or a site migration | That traffic has collapsed and something is seriously wrong. |
| A mention in the press or a newsletter | That a traffic spike is a measurement error or bot traffic. |
